General Terms and Conditions
1.- RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibility of the carrier is incumbent upon the company that actually performs the service.
The carrier shall not be liable for non-compliance that is not directly attributable to it, nor for those caused by unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure, or due to legal or administrative requirements.
Likewise, it is not responsible for the loss of connection of its intermodal services with other transports, its own or others.
Notwithstanding the above, those travelers who wish to link the contracted service with an air transport service and given that our services follow a pre-established itinerary that cannot be changed due to adverse traffic circumstances except for express instructions from the competent authorities, are recommended to purchase tickets sufficiently in advance taking into account the recommendations on time of presentation at airports for national or international flights made by DOMINICAN BUS or the airline company in each case.
DOMINICAN BUS minimum advance notice recommendations:
- For local transfers, it is recommended to purchase a reservation with arrival at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of embarkation of the transport.
- For inland transfers, it is recommended that you make a reservation with arrival at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of your transfer.
- It is recommended to increase the above times by 1 hour in the case of road travel on days with high traffic density, such as outbound or return operations as contemplated by the General Directorate of Traffic, outbound or return of long weekends or weekends.
In international lines, the responsibility that may arise is incumbent upon the company that carries out the transportation, in accordance with the laws and courts of their country, being the sole responsibility of the traveler to be provided with the necessary documents for the border crossing and the transfer.
Passengers of transport services whose point of embarkation or disembarkation is located in Dominican territory are subject, depending on the distance of the journey to be made, to the following Passenger Rights that can be consulted in the Regulation 181/2011.

Wheelchair travelers
Wheelchair passengers have at their disposal special seats (PMRSR) to travel seated in their own wheelchair.
These seats have the same cost as the rest of the seats in the vehicle.
It is not possible to select a seat, because the seats for wheelchair passengers are already predetermined on the bus.
If the passenger wishes to travel in a conventional bus seat, he/she can carry his/her seat in the luggage compartment at no additional cost.
In this case, he/she must be able to get on the vehicle and sit in the seat independently, or bring a companion to help him/her do so.
You may select the seat that is available at the time of booking.
DOMINICAN BUS recommends that travelers with the following special needs travel with a companion who can meet those needs:

4.- PRICE OF THE TRANSFERS
The total amount of the transfers purchased through the digital channels of DOMINICAN BUS is composed of the price of the Transfer according to the current rates in the concession with the promotions and discounts in force, plus the additional amount expressed, as management cost through said sales channel (0,99 $ for national transfers whose base rate, without promotions or discounts, is less than 10 $; 2,60 $ for national transfers whose base rate, without promotions or discounts, is higher than 10 $).

In case of ticket cancellation, the handling fee will not be refunded.
The handling fee will not be applied to customers who identify themselves as DOMINICAN BUS from the second purchase onwards.
Supplement for change
Seats pre-assigned by the sales system will have no additional cost.
On some services and for certain promoted fares, a supplement may be applied in the event that the traveler changes the pre-assigned seat.
The amount of the supplement is variable and will depend on the type of fare, bus, the seat chosen, the purchase channel or the service schedule.
The supplement is applied individually to each passenger and per trip and, in no case, will it result in exceeding the maximum fare set by the competent transport administration.
5.- CAMPAIGNS AND SPECIAL PROMOTIONS
Special promotional campaigns for certain tickets programmed by the company are subject to special conditions available to travelers, at least at the point of sale and on the web.
These conditions shall prevail over any other conditions.
Short-haul and regional tickets in the areas of punta cana and santo domingo, purchased on the website or mobile apps, cannot be changed or cancelled under any circumstances due to the particular characteristics of the type of service and the lack of restriction in advance of purchase.
6.- DISCOUNTS
The discounts available vary depending on each concession or line.
The cancellation and change conditions for discounted tickets are exactly the same as for other tickets.
However, in certain promotions there are specific limitations on cancellation and change, so we remind you that you should consult the conditions of the promotion before purchasing the transfer and that its acceptance implies knowledge on your part.
For the application of the discounts to which the passenger is entitled due to his personal conditions (age, groups subject to agreement…) it is essential that the passenger has and exhibits at the moment of the purchase the valid document that accredits that he is the beneficiary of such discount.
Likewise, when entering the bus, the passenger must show the aforementioned document to the DOMINICAN BUS staff.
In case of non-compliance with this requirement, the driving staff has the obligation to prevent the use of the ticket and in no case the economic difference between the normal fare ticket and the promoted ticket can be paid, having to purchase another full ticket if you wish to travel.
There are no general discounts on international lines and it is necessary to follow the specific conditions of each international service at any given time.
Large family discounts
There are 2 categories of large family:

This supplement will not be applied in those cases where there is an obligation of gratuity in the corresponding autonomous community.
